Do you need to get a hold of me?

This page features a few reasons you might need to contact me & how to get a hold of me.

Are you looking to commission a piece?

I’m excited to share the opportunity to bring the story in your heart to life! Your heart is precious and so is your story.

To get started with the commission process you’ll reach out to me via email. If you answer the questions listed below in your email, that will help things move much more quickly for your commissioned art piece.

After the initial email, I’ll set up a video consult or an in person consult where we can discuss your project in further detail. During that meeting I can get to know you and the space you hope to display your piece more fully.

If you decide you’d like to move forward during that consult, we will both sign a commission contract & I will begin the process of developing the piece.

After, I will send an initial concept proof. This will include what I’ve sketched out as a basic design/layout of the piece, with color selections & any additional materials such as metallic or other specialty paints/mediums & your canvas medium (wood, traditional canvas or other).

You can then approve of the basic design to move forward on the completion of the commissioned art piece.

A small deposit will be collected at this time, of 10% of the agreed upon commission amount outlined in the commission contract, to ensure your commitment to your piece.

An important caveat: This is the point where design changes need to be voiced! Please do NOT wait until completion to voice displeasure with the concept, overall placement of the initial design, or materials choice.

Once you’ve signed off on the design proof & paid your deposit you have contractually agreed to pay in full, upon completion/delivery, for the commissioned art piece.

I’m also contractually obligated to finish your wonderful heartfelt story & ensure safe delivery of your custom heart piece.

If you have any additional questions about the commission process please feel free to send me an email at:

If you’re ready to begin the commission process for the story in your heart please copy these questions below & paste them into your email to the address above. Then answer them as fully as you can, as it helps this process go much quicker.

Questions:

Would you tell me your name & how you found my work?

Is this commission piece a gift for someone or a personal reminder of something dear to your heart?

Do you have a specific story in mind? If so could you share it with me?

If you don’t have a particular story in mind, what’s the major thought stuck in your heart you wish you could see represented?

If this is a gift who is for? Can you describe them & their likes (favorite colors are always helpful to know)?

If this is for you what are some of your favorite things (color is always good to know, along with any colors that you have a negative relationship with) and any special symbols to you (are you religious etc.)?

Do you have a budget for this piece?

How big are you hoping this piece can be?

Will you have any special lighting on the piece?

Where will it be displayed?

Who will be viewing it? Just you, your loved one, anyone who visits your home, in an office, in a waiting room, or another public setting?

Any other special requests or concerns?

Are there any triggering themes or symbols I should avoid?

*disclaimer 1* I do not do portraits in the traditional sense, I may create a portrait that is symbolic, but I cannot match the likeness of a specific person like some other artists can. I will only symbolically represent someone.

*disclaimer 2* I also never deal with explicit materials of any kind. I believe our bodies are sacred/personal & I will NOT paint anything nude. I will not use vulgar gestures or words within my art.

*disclaimer 3* please do not send me inspo images at this time, during our consult I’ll go over when I will need those if you have any.

*disclaimer 4* I can deal with darker themes; but I will only strive to represent the feelings behind the story stuck in your heart in order to help bring healing.

If you are grieving a truly traumatic event, please first seek counseling; but I do believe in art therapy & I’m happy to assist in creating a piece that allows you to grieve your loss/exprience. I will let your feelings, desires, and hopes guide the design process.
